⇓Deer Country information⇓
BLOOD TYPE/b>: Paleblood
PATRON PTHUMERIAN: Bausphomette (May 1). He will also be venerating a minor pthumerian that aligns with Loviatan principles--details to follow.
EMPLOYMENT: Night Walker
⇓Description⇓
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: Reference image here. Pale, gray hair, gray eyes. Age is hard to determine beyond "adult". Scars are randomly distributed across his face and body, most of which look well cared for. Assume that unless he's healed recently, he'll have fresh bruises and cuts, particularly on his back and chest. He defaults to shirtless, but if he has to cover up, he'll wear his shoulderpiece over his clothes: the nine-tailed flail symbol on his chest is important to his religion, and wearing it openly grants him his magic (see below).
VOICE AND DEMEANOR: Always intense. Always. English accent, enunciates clearly, and did I mention intense? His default tone is more fervent than most situations call for. When he's discussing his faith, most words come out with a purr. When administering penance, he enthusiastically encourages and praises the recipient. He's even intense when he's gossiping. The man starts at 110% and cranks things right up past 500% when the mood calls for it.
BRIEF SUMMARY: After the Second Sundering and the numerous other cataclysms that regularly befall Faerûn, it's no surprise that many of its people have trauma. Some seek solace in their profession, in their family, or religion. Abdirak has chosen the last of these. As a priest of Loviatar, there is one sensation he holds as sacred above all others: pain. Pain is proof of life, and pain felt and administered with love is the perfect offering to his goddess. His faith has been instrumental in his mental health recovery, and he is eager to spread the Scourge Mistress's message. And should others feel anguish as he has, he will gladly offer the peace and serenity that Loviatar's grace provides.
⇓in character⇓
PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Encouraged, with discussion beforehand.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Welcomed, with discussion beforehand.
ROMANCE/FLIRTING: Absolutely!
SEXUAL CONTENT: With discussion beforehand.
PSYCHIC ABILITIES: As a cleric, Abdirak can prepare spells appropriate to his level and class, including some that have psychic-like effects. This includes Command, Detect Evil and Good, and Zone of Truth. Use on him is acceptable, with discussion beforehand.
MAGIC/POWERS: As above, Abdirak can prepare spells appropriate to his level and class: for him, three cantrips, four 1st level spells, and two 2nd level spells. He also has access to four spells from the Death Domain.
Abdirak also feels Loviatar's Love--this blessing means that if he's ever grievously injured, he becomes stronger and more focused. (in D&D mechanical terms: +2 to all attacks and saving throws if under 30% HP.)
All powers mentioned above are conditional on his devotion, and Loviatar's presence. For Deer Country purposes, this means that he will not have access to any of these powers until he finds a compatible minor Pthumerian who can act as a temporary stand-in for her.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Abdirak is physically healthy, but is in recovery from an unspecified mental illness, and has a history of self-harm. He has numerous scars, most of them well-cared for, some of them less so--see the next section below for discussion of his older scars.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS OR TRIGGERS: Abdirak engages in sadomasochistic practices as part of his religion. When others are involved, he truly wishes for them to enjoy the experience, but he doesn't follow full SSC/RACK/etc. safety philosophies. This has included not establishing a safeword or sign, insufficient communication before a scene, and (though this may be partially due to limitations of the game's present coding and assets,) use of unsafe equipment for the task. I'm happy to either engage with these issues or avoid them as desired.
Canon implies that while Abdirak doesn't protect those who engage in knowingly harmful behavior, he didn't help one of their victims either. Given how close this strays to potential real-world issues in kink spaces, I feel it worth mentioning. If this behavior is an issue for you, please let me know, and I'll adjust as appropriate.
Abdirak has a history of mental illness and self-harm, specifically cutting. While he will not be returning to this in Deer Country, he does have visible scars on his wrists, which he puts on full display. Memories of his per-conversion life might come up, if memory or nightmare plots happen.
As a priest of Loviatar, Abdirak's own masochistic practices tend toward the extreme. His standard practice appears to be self-flagellation with a stick and/or flogger, he can and will go beyond that in the pursuit of pain. He's from a world where you can just magic away injuries when they stop being fun. This means blood is likely.

BACKTAGGING: Absolutely fine by me!
FOURTH WALLING: While I don't prefer it, the levels of strange cosmology lurking in the depths of the Forgotten Realms means that Abdirak might be slightly better equipped to handle fourth walling than others. Please discuss with me first.
THREADHOPPING: Fine by me!
CONTENT I ABSOLUTELY NEED WARNINGS FOR, BUT CAN STILL PLAY: Decapitation, pregnancy, homophobia, transphobia, noncon or mention thereof. Things visibly moving under skin.
CONTENT I ABSOLUTELY NEED WARNINGS FOR AND THAT I CAN'T PLAY: Acephobia, misogyny, cancer, dementia, vore involving still-living victims swallowed whole (ex. zombie bites okay, giant snake no), fetish material involving bodily waste or force-feeding.
